Bernay Fine Art is pleased to present, It’s a Wrap, a holiday show that will open Saturday, December 10, with a reception for the artists from 4-6 PM at 296 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA.

Ann Wolf and Eric Wolf (no relation) both cherish time in nature and use that experience to create their art. Ann collects locations and impressions on her daily walks in Albany County. These impressions of weather and light are presented in the artist’s work, both oil and gouache paintings. Eric Wolf spends much of his creative time in solitude out in nature where he feels very at home and inspired by the beauty of the land. Many of his paintings are from Maine and the area around Mooselookmeguntic Lake where he spends part of the summer.

Longtime friends Kristen Palazzo and Karin Schaefer originally started their Correspondence Series as a way of staying in touch after years of living on different continents. The two artists created weekly conversations, communicating through the act of drawing. The drawings were emailed back and forth with specifically defined times and size parameters. As time went on, this correspondence created an overlap in each artist’s work, both in the drawings of this series and in later work.

Sue Muskat and Morgan Bulkeley create art based on their past and present life relationships. Muskat’s paintings reflect her past relationships with design, iconic imagery, and most recently the intricate macro and micro designs in nature. Bulkeley’s art balances the beauty he sees in humanity with his concern for the environment in which we live.

Joy Taylor and Scott Prior have created works reflecting the time of the year in each of their unique styles. Taylor’s leaf paintings reflect sparkling detail, daring composition, and luminous color that reflects the power of natural forces. Prior’s winter scenes depict intimate, simple, and personal scenes dazzled with light.
